"Bear Stuffy" - Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Edelgard-centric

This was written for threesentenceficathon's 2024 ficathon, responding to the prompt any, any, teddy bear. Again, this is actually three sentences long!

Title: Bear Stuffy

Summary: Edelgard gets an armoured bear stuffy as a gift.

Of all the things she could've been given as a gift from her teacher, Edelgard hadn't expected the armoured bear stuffy; part of her wondered if she looked like the kind of person who would enjoy such a cute present, but she'd been happy to receive it all the same and hadn't been able to hide the blush that tinted her face at the time.

Bringing it back to her room afterwards, she thought of where she could best put the bear on display, and she also considered whether she should have it out on display at all; even if not many people came into this room in the first place, she couldn't help thinking of how it might look for the future emperor of Adrestia to have an adorable teddy bear in adorably fancy cloth armour in her room, even if it was a gift.

For now, though, she simply hugged the bear tightly in her arms, soft and comforting, before making her decision on where it should go.

This was so precious! I like that one of Edelgard's favorite gifts is the bear stuffy and how she puts aside her concerns about appearance to hug the bear she was just given. :3

(Good timing, too, my next 3H game I'll be romancing Edelgard again so this was a joy to read.)

Thank you! Edie liking the bear stuffy is such a nice bit of gap moe, especially when most other fans of it are more obvious lovers of cute things, and she deserves to have something nice and soft to hug for a change.
